About the Role
As a Full Stack Software Engineer at blithequark, you'll play a critical role in shaping the user experience of our web and cloud applications. You'll work closely with our cross-functional team to design, develop, and deploy scalable, high-performance applications that meet the needs of our 40M+ users. Your expertise will help us create seamless, intuitive experiences that resonate with the passion of sports fans worldwide.
Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and deploy scalable, high-performance web and cloud applications using a range of technologies, including Java, Python, and JavaScript
- Collaborate with our cross-functional team to identify and prioritize project requirements, ensuring that our applications meet the needs of our users
- Develop and maintain high-quality code, following best practices and industry standards
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring that our codebase remains maintainable, efficient, and scalable
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, working closely with our QA team to ensure that our applications meet our quality standards
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends, applying your knowledge to improve our applications and user experiences
- Collaborate with our design team to ensure that our applications are visually appealing and user-friendly
- Participate in agile development methodologies, working closely with our product management team to prioritize and deliver features and enhancements
Requirements
* 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on web and cloud applications
- Strong understanding of full-stack development, including front-end and back-end technologies
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript, with experience in frameworks such as Spring, Django, or React
- Experience with cloud platforms, including AWS or Azure
- Strong understanding of database design and development, including relational and NoSQL databases
- Experience with agile development methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Passion for sports and a drive to create innovative experiences that resonate with fans
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence, with a focus on sports-related applications
- Familiarity with cloud-based services, including AWS Lambda or Azure Functions
- Experience with containerization, including Docker or Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment
- Experience with testing frameworks, including JUnit or PyUnit
