About the Role

As a Data Scientist at blithequark, you'll play a key role in driving business growth and operational excellence through data-driven insights and strategic guidance. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities, develop data-driven solutions, and measure the impact of your work. Your expertise will be sought after by business leaders and product managers who rely on your insights to inform their decisions.

Key Responsibilities

* Use quantitative analysis and data visualization to identify trends and patterns in large datasets

• Build full-cycle analytics experiments, reports, and dashboards using SQL, R, Python, or other scripting and statistical tools
• Work with and mentor junior analysts to develop their skills and expertise
• Produce actionable insights and recommendations to inform business decisions
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement, document, validate, and deploy analytics solutions
• Identify and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and inform business decisions

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Math, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field

• 4+ years of experience in data analytics, consulting, or a related role
• Expertise in SQL queries, ETL, A/B testing, and statistical analysis (e.g. hypothesis testing, experimentation, regressions) with statistical packages (e.g. Matlab, R, SAS, Python)
• Proficiency in one or more analytics and visualization tools (e.g. Chartio, Looker, Tableau)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in a related field

• Experience working with funnel optimization, user segmentation, cohort analysis, time series analysis, regression models, etc.
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Experience working in a cloud-based environment (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g. Git)
