Schedule and Work Environment
As a Part-Time Data Entry Claims Intake Processor, you will work a regular schedule of Monday to Friday, with flexible hours between 8am and 4:30pm CST. This role is designed to be fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home or office. With a 34-hour workweek, you will have ample time to balance your work and personal life.
Key Responsibilities
As a Data Entry Claims Intake Processor, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Accurately entering data from insurance claims and/or authorization requests submitted by healthcare providers
- Entering data from insurance claims and/or authorization requests expediently and efficiently to meet client turnaround times
- Navigating efficiently and effectively through the imaging software to retrieve claims and authorizations for data entry
- Differentiating between different claim types and following the appropriate data entry guidelines
- Accurately identifying specific document types that require special handling
- Working collaboratively with other team members to ensure that work is completed in accordance with designated turnaround times
- Supporting additional workflows as needed due to internal or external requirements
Additional Responsibilities
In addition to your primary responsibilities, you will also be expected to:
- Perform quality review of other team members' claims/authorizations according to established data entry guidelines
- Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing additional responsibilities as needed
- Alert management of potential issues upon identification of discrepancies
- Provide recommendations on process improvements to increase efficiencies as appropriate
Qualifications and Requirements
To be a successful candidate for this role, you will need to possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 6 months of experience in data entry or a typing-focused role
- Strong data entry/typing skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- High degree of accuracy
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Assessment and Selection Process
If selected for further consideration, you will be required to complete an online alphanumeric data entry assessment. A minimum of 8,200 KSPH with a 98% accuracy rate is required for this position.
