About the Role

As a Manager-Construction & Engineering at AT&T, you will play a pivotal role in supervising and managing crews of technicians responsible for the day-to-day construction and engineering activities. Your leadership will ensure that our network infrastructure is built and maintained with the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities

  • Team Supervision and Management: Lead regular team huddles to discuss and direct assignments, oversee inventory and supply distribution, and work with dispatch to apportion work orders amongst crews.
  • Technician Performance Management: Maintain technician work schedules, manage attendance, review records, and provide feedback, training, and coaching to ensure high performance.
  • Safety and Quality Control: Conduct in-field safety and quality inspections to ensure technicians perform work properly and safely, and identify potential issues and missed customer-services opportunities.
  • Recruitment and Development: Interview potential hires and transfers, gauge skill levels, and recommend promotions for high-performing technicians.
  • Grieveance Handling: Handle technician grievances consistent with the collective bargaining agreement at the step one level.

Job Contribution

As a Manager-Construction & Engineering, you will contribute to AT&T's compliance with environmental laws and regulations, ensuring that our operations meet the highest standards of sustainability and responsibility.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; technical degree preferred.
  • Experience: At least 3-5 years of network-related technical experience.
  • Supervisory Experience: Proven experience in supervising teams of technicians.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical Degree: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, construction management).
  • Industry Certifications: Relevant certifications in construction, engineering, or telecommunications.
