Job Overview We're seeking an experienced Product Manager to join the Home Depot team on a full-time, remote basis. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving business value through the development of compelling products that enhance customer satisfaction, improve efficiency, and boost sales. Key Responsibilities

  • System and Planning (40%):
  • Gaining a deep understanding of customer and stakeholder needs to inform product development
  • Translating business objectives into product strategy and communicating it to cross-functional teams
  • Identifying metrics and analysis to measure product value and making data-driven decisions
  • Conducting customer research to inform product development and validate assumptions
  • Collaborating with Finance to understand financial requirements and develop business cases
  • Monitoring market research and competitive landscape to stay ahead of industry trends
  • Delivery and Execution (30%):
  • Ensuring products align with company, stakeholder, and customer needs
  • Documenting, reviewing, and ensuring quality and change control standards are met
  • Forming, testing, and refining hypotheses through customer research and testing
  • Creating, prioritizing, and accepting customer stories and integrating them into release planning
  • Making informed product decisions that drive value
  • Participating in stand-ups, iteration planning meetings, product demos, and reviews
  • People and Collaboration (30%):
  • Fostering collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive value and resolve obstacles
  • Advocating for modern software development practices and championing customer needs
  • Working closely with the product team to review progress, share learnings, and align on next steps
  • Managing cross-functional team and stakeholder expectations to execute on product strategy
  • Communicating effectively at all levels, including executive leadership and store partners

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience as a Product Manager in a modern software development environment
  • Proven expertise in agile methodologies, specifically Extreme Programming (XP) principles
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work with functional and technical stakeholders at all levels

Preferred Capabilities To stand out as a candidate, you will ideally have:

  • Experience creating, prioritizing, and accepting customer stories
  • A background in conducting customer research and testing to inform product development
  • Knowledge of metrics and analysis to measure product value
