About the Role

In this dynamic and rewarding role, you'll have the opportunity to educate clients about investment strategies, trading tools, market mechanics, and retirement choices. You'll engage with clients through inbound calls, taking ownership of complex issues and providing tailored solutions to meet their unique needs. Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to inbound client calls, addressing complex issues and providing personalized solutions to meet their financial needs
  • Educate clients about investment strategies, trading tools, market mechanics, and retirement choices
  • Take ownership of client issues, resolving problems efficiently and effectively
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless client experiences and resolve complex issues
  • Participate in the Schwab Service Academy (SSA), a comprehensive training program that provides paid training, study time, and support to obtain Securities Industry Essentials and FINRA Series 7 & 63 licenses

Qualifications and Skills

Essential Qualifications:

  • Ability to work full-time on-site during Schwab's training program (SSA), followed by a hybrid work schedule
  • Ability to work various shifts to serve our clients 24/7, including overnight and weekend availability

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous customer service experience
  • Previous client relationship experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, or a related field from an accredited university
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the market and business
  • Eagerness to learn about finance and the securities industry
  • Robust communication, influencing, and client engagement skills
  • Desire to be part of a supportive and collaborative team
  • Proven success navigating multiple computer applications

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package that takes care of the whole you – both today and in the future. As a Finance Customer Service Representative, you can expect:

  • A competitive salary, with starting compensation beginning at $54,100 during training
  • An annual bonus opportunity of 10% of your base pay and other eligible earnings
  • Potential to increase total compensation to $61,700 ($56,100 base, plus 10% bonus opportunity) within the first year upon obtaining required licensing and achieving performance-based pay increases
