About Specialty Sales

Our Specialty Sales teams are comprised of specialized consultants who understand what it means to meet our guests where they are and deliver for them through strong operations, incredible guest experiences, and compelling visual merchandising presentations. As a Specialty Sales Team Leader, you will lead multiple businesses, balance team member expertise, and effectively lead teams in each department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience and model, train, and coach team member expectations to deliver on our GUEST service model culture.
  • Understand sales goals, plan daily/weekly workload, and execute tasks to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagement.
  • Lead and demonstrate a culture of executing all best practices as outlined with team onboarding and learning.
  • Develop, coach, and lead a team of consultants who are knowledgeable and passionate about Apparel and Accessories (A&A), Home, Baby, Beauty, and Electronics.
  • Partner with third-party vendors to ensure brand standards and merchandising are being met and areas are full and maintained.
  • Support team's execution of revisions, sales plans, planograms, and Visual Merchandising Guide (VMG) for defined categories.
  • Evaluate candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team.
  • Support team onboarding, learning, and help close product knowledge and skill gaps through development, coaching, and team interactions.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
  • Lead and hold others accountable.
  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a leadership role.
  • Knowledge of sales trends, inventory management, and guest shopping patterns.
  • Experience with visual merchandising and planogram execution.
