Blithequark is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Support Specialist to join our Technology Services Group (TSG) team. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will provide daily technical support for network infrastructure and internal workplace systems software and hardware. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting desktop systems, workstations, servers, and network issues. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily technical support for network infrastructure and internal workplace systems software and hardware
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop systems, workstations, servers, and network issues
  • Maintain passwords, data integrity, and file system security
  • Provide technical support to PC system users and answer questions or resolve PC issues for clients face-to-face and via telephone, email, chat, etc.
  • Provide assistance with the use of PC hardware and software, including printing, installation, project systems, email, and operating systems
  • Respond to client support requests and determine the technical support issue (i.e., software or hardware related)
  • Communicate with clients by telephone to discuss identified issues or concerns and resolve the issues
  • Investigate recognized issues by gathering information, assessing web data sites, or potentially internal site to identify solutions and work with resolution
  • Conduct site visits within the area to investigate issues and also install or upgrade hardware and software if help issues cannot be resolved simply
  • Conduct follow-up with clients to check issues were resolved totally
  • Complete service orders to avoid functional delays in settling issues

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Ability to convey highly technical information to both technical and non-technical clients
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems (client/server)
  • Experience with Cisco VPN, Citrix, Phantom, Symantec, Desktop Applications, Dynamic Registry, and various Internet browsers
  • Technical certifications like A+, Network, or MCP are preferred
  • Technical work experience is preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with network administration and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of IT service management frameworks and best practices
  • Experience with scripting languages and automation tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation and Benefits

Our compensation package is competitive and reflects the cost of living across several US geographic business markets. The base salary for this position ranges from $23.85/hour to $38.75/hour, depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer a range of benefits, including:
