Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department, you'll be responsible for providing compassionate and relationship-centered care to patients. You'll prioritize the prevention of illnesses and injuries, promote health and healing, and exercise independent judgment in utilizing the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate direct patient care. You'll collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, families, and support systems to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' health situations and compile detailed information relevant to their care
  • Review assessment findings to determine diagnoses or problems and develop personalized care plans
  • Implement approved care plans and track patient progress
  • Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams to improve care delivery
  • Provide health teaching and health promotion to encourage healthy habits and create a secure environment
  • Serve as a consultant and resource for other healthcare professionals
  • Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans as needed

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure - South Dakota Board of Nursing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Registered Nurse experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
