Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small group academic support to high school students in math, science, social studies, and English
• Develop and implement innovative tutoring resources and curriculum materials to enhance student learning
• Monitor student progress and identify areas needing improvement
• Assist students with homework and prepare them for tests and exams
• Discuss students' challenges and develop strategies to overcome them
• Attend monthly grant team meetings to collaborate with colleagues and share best practices

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; currently enrolled in a college or university pursuing a degree in a related field (education, teaching, or subject area expertise)
• Three years of experience working with students in an educational setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in basic computer programs, such as Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fluent in Spanish or other languages
• Experience working with students of various ages and skill levels
• Additional graduate-level education in a related field
