As a remote Senior Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial integrity of the organization, analyzing expenditures, and identifying cost-saving strategies. Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data through thorough general ledger account reconciliation, maintaining precise financial records.
  • Prepare and record journal entries to maintain accurate financial records, adhering to accounting standards and best practices.
  • Oversee the month-end closing process, assisting in the preparation of financial statements and ensuring timely completion.
  • Support audit processes, contributing to annual review preparations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze expenditures, formulate allocations, and identify cost-saving strategies to optimize financial performance.
  • Create reports and dashboards utilizing advanced tools such as Power BI and Tableau to provide insights and inform decision-making.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, demonstrating a solid foundation in accounting principles and practices.
  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in general accounting, with a proven track record of handling complex financial tasks and responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Excel, specifically adept with pivot tables and vlookups, to efficiently analyze and report financial data.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools, including Tableau and Power BI, to effectively communicate financial insights and trends.
  • Superior communication and organizational capabilities, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
