What You'll Be Doing

As a remote chat support agent at blithequark, you'll be the first point of contact for customers who interact with our clients' websites through live chat. Your primary responsibility will be to provide timely, accurate, and helpful responses to customers' queries, ensuring that their experience is positive and memorable. You'll have access to a comprehensive knowledge base and a supervisor who's always available to provide guidance and support.

Key Responsibilities:

* Respond to customer inquiries via live chat, providing accurate and helpful information in a timely and professional manner

  • Utilize a knowledge base to answer frequently asked questions and resolve common issues
  • Escalate complex issues to supervisors or other support teams as needed
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Work independently, managing your time and priorities to meet productivity and quality standards
  • Collaborate with the support team to share knowledge, best practices, and ideas for improving customer experiences

Contract Length and Rate

* Contract length: No fixed term, with opportunities for long-term employment and career growth

  • Hourly rate: $25-$35 per hour, depending on experience and performance

Essential Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., communications, customer service) preferred

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues
  • Ability to work independently, managing your time and priorities to meet productivity and quality standards
  • Reliable internet connection and a device able to access social media and website chat functions (phone, tablet, or laptop)
  • 10+ hours of availability per week, with flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to closely follow provided steps and instructions, with a focus on quality and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications:

* Previous customer service experience, either in-person or online

  • Experience with live chat software and customer relationship management (CRM) systems
  • Familiarity with blithequark's products and services, or a willingness to learn and adapt quickly
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
  • Certification in customer service or a related field (e.g., Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR))
