Domain Expert, Analyst - Part-Time Weekends (12 Month Fixed-Term)

As a Domain Expert, you will examine and analyze our data feeds and annotate, label and edit signals in real time. You will be an integral part of our algorithm training process and our advanced realtime human-AI feedback loop that integrates key knowledge domains into our AI models. This role is open as remote or hybrid, and requires the ability to work core hours of 3:00pm - 11:00pm GMT in a real-time information environment on weekends including Friday, Saturday and Sunday. AI Innovation at Dataminr Working at Dataminr you’ll have the opportunity to tackle the most exciting trends in AI on a daily basis to power a revolutionary product that uncovers critical events around the world as they unfold.   • Serve as an expert on global breaking news events, geopolitical developments and the relevant data sources associated with these areas to improve our AI models
  • Monitor and analyse the quality of our data feeds
  • Annotate and label complex real time events
  • Make real-time decisions with incomplete data
  • Identify any software issues to elevate to our product and engineering teams
  • Collaborate and communicate about daily priorities in a team-centric environment

  • Bachelor's degree required; a concentration in political science, international relations, or a closely related field is strongly preferred
  • An understanding of geopolitical risk and world events
  • Ability to monitor and analyze data with strong online research skills in a fast-paced environment in English. Additional languages are a plus
  • Adaptable, innovative and able to juggle multiple competing priorities in evolving scenarios
  • Passion for breaking news, current world events, technology, complimented with a strong understanding of both social media and publicly-available data
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently within a team
