A Day in the Life of a Customer Service Representative

In this critical role, you will be the primary point of contact for customers seeking information about their dental insurance benefits, claims, and other related inquiries. Your exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment will enable you to provide accurate and timely resolutions to customer concerns. Your day will be filled with a variety of tasks, including:

• Answering a high volume of inbound phone calls and providing personalized support to customers
• Listening attentively to customer concerns and asking questions to determine their needs and provide effective solutions
• Thoroughly documenting customer interactions, including contact information, nature of the call, and resolution provided
• Utilizing multiple resources to research and resolve customer inquiries, including claims processing and pre-tax spending accounts
• Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and effective issue resolution
• Exhibiting a positive, professional demeanor and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction

Key Responsibilities and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

• High school diploma, with some college preferred
• At least two years of experience in a high-volume customer service setting, preferably in the healthcare or dental field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to utilize various technology platforms, including Microsoft Office and virtual communication applications
• Knowledge of Release of Information policies and procedures, HIPAA regulations, and other relevant standards
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office and ability to quickly adapt to new technologies
• Residency in one of the following states: Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Texas, Nebraska, Iowa, or South Dakota
• Regular and predictable attendance, with ability to work a variety of shifts, including Monday through Thursday 9AM to 6PM and Fridays 8AM to 5PM
