Business Analyst (Relocation to Spain)

Job Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join an international banking initiative based in Málaga, Spain. This role focuses on re-engineering end-to-end lending processes and integrating retail loan systems into a global solution. You will act as the vital link between users and IT teams, ensuring business needs are translated into effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, validate, and document business requirements to create clear, actionable specifications.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to design new processes and system improvements.
  • Act as the link between end users and development teams to ensure smooth communication and delivery.
  • Define and execute test plans to validate that software solutions meet functional requirements.
  • Support business transition initiatives and contribute to organisational change.
  • Assist in resolving service incidents and provide ongoing user support.
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (dailies, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) to foster continuous improvement.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

Required:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Business Analyst in a corporate or financial services environment.
  • Knowledge of Corporate & Investment Banking products (Loans, RPPs, Insurance, etc).
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA and Microsoft Teams.
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and able to document processes effectively.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience with LoanIQ or similar loan management systems.
  • Prior exposure to global solution implementations in banking.
  • Knowledge of insurance products.
  • Familiarity with the Santander ecosystem or other multinational financial institutions.

Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to relocate to Málaga, Spain.
  • Availability to start from 1st October.
