PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: All work will be performed onsite at the GPO.

1.BACKGROUND

The United States Government Publishing Office (GPO), a legislative branch agency responsible for publishing government business documents, operates a mainframe data center located at North Capitol and H Streets NW, Washington, DC. This SOW describes the ongoing operational support required from computer operators to ensure uninterrupted mainframe data center processing.

2.SCOPE: This SOW encompasses the duties and responsibilities of computer operators supporting the GPO mainframe data center. The scope includes operation of high-speed laser and impact printers, job scheduling and monitoring in TSO, report distribution, printer supply handling, and assistance to Production Control staff.

4. SPECIFIC TASKS

• Computer operators will be responsible for operating high-speed laser printers, impact printers, and bursters within the mainframe data center. Duties include setting up printers based on instructions from mainframe computer consoles, loading paper, toner, and developer, and promptly removing and organizing completed print jobs for customer distribution.
• Operators are also responsible for unloading boxes of paper and forms as needed for print tasks, and for maintaining a clean and organized printer area by removing empty printer boxes, toner containers, and loose paper.
• In addition, operators will support the Production Control staff by submitting, scheduling, and tracking jobs using JCL within TSO. They will notify the baling room when recycling bins are full.
• Lead operators will perform the same duties while providing leadership on shift. All work must be performed onsite at GPO under the supervision of the Production Control Lead and Data Center Manager.

5.DELIVERABLES AND DELIVERY SCHEDULE

• Throughout the contract period, the contractor shall ensure consistent and reliable support of the GPO s mainframe printing and processing operations.
• Deliverables include timely execution of print jobs, accurate handling and tracking of scheduled tasks, and proper distribution of reports to end-users.
• All deliverables will be reviewed and accepted by the designated GPO Contracting Officer s Representative (COR) based on conformance with project objectives.
• All necessary equipment, including printers and supplies, as well as access to mainframe systems, will be furnished by the Government Publishing Office.
