About the Role

As a REMOTE Naval Architect at Workwarp, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting projects, from designing and developing new marine vessels and structures to collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to integrate naval architecture requirements into larger projects. You will be responsible for developing and designing detailed plans for marine vessels and offshore structures, conducting hydrostatic and hydrodynamic analyses, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards, codes, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and design detailed plans for marine vessels and offshore structures, including hull form, stability, and structural integrity.

  • Conduct hydrostatic and hydrodynamic analyses to ensure optimal performance and safety of naval designs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, architects, and contractors, to integrate naval architecture requirements into larger projects.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, including design reports, specifications, and construction drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes, and regulations, such as ABS, DNV GL, and IMO.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring that designs meet client specifications and project requirements.
  • Provide technical support and guidance during the construction and commissioning phases of projects.

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

  • 10+ Years of related Engineering experience/ 5-10 years of experience in Naval Architecture and Design.
  • Proficiency in naval architecture software (e.g., Maxsurf, OrcaFlex, AutoCAD, Rhino) and tools is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working on marine vessels and structures projects.

  • Knowledge of relevant standards, codes, and regulations, such as ABS, DNV GL, and IMO.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
