Job Description
We're currently seeking an experienced online Japanese language teacher to join our team and deliver engaging lessons to a client in Oakland, CA (US Pacific time). This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a motivated client who is eager to learn Japanese and improve their language skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver 46 hours of general online Japanese language lessons to a client in Oakland, CA (US Pacific time)
- Conduct lessons via Zoom video-conference, twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:00pm (California time- US PDT)
- Create engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to the client's learning style and goals
- Use a range of teaching materials and resources to keep lessons interesting and challenging
- Provide regular feedback and assessment to the client to track their progress and identify areas for improvement
- Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, progress, and client feedback
Essential Qualifications:
* Native English speaker or equivalent language proficiency
- Teaching degree or certification (e.g., TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA)
- Experience as an online trainer or language teacher
- Availability for tutoring in the schedule mentioned above
- Own computer at home and a fast broadband connection
- Ability to commit to the 46-hour course duration
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience teaching Japanese language to adults or children
- Knowledge of Japanese culture and customs
- Familiarity with online teaching platforms and software (e.g., Zoom, Skype, or Google Meet)
- Ability to create engaging multimedia content (e.g., videos, podcasts, or presentations)
