Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and passionate Registered Behavior Technician to join our growing team in Acworth, GA. As an RBT, you will work closely with our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to implement ABA therapy and counseling programs for children with autism. This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families while gaining valuable experience and skills in the field of ABA therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one (1:1) in-home ABA therapy to children with autism, implementing treatment plans and collecting data on behavior and skill acquisition
  • Conduct discrete trials, implement behavior support, and treatment plans under the guidance of a BCBA
  • Collaborate with BCBAs to develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's needs and goals
  • Work closely with families to provide support, guidance, and education on ABA principles and techniques
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of therapy sessions, including data collection and progress notes
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in ABA therapy

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree or working towards a degree in a related field (Psychology, Education, or Sociology) preferred
  • Experience working with children for 1 year in a 1:1 setting, preferably in ABA therapy or a related field
  • 1-year ABA/RBT Experience or equivalent experience in a related field (e.g., Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor)
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Personal means of transportation with a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift up to 35lbs and perform activities that entail fine and gross motor skills, bend, kneel, squat, sitting on floor level or in a chair, or standing for periods of time
  • Willingness and ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to obtain certification
  • Experience using a Cognitive Behavior Intervention Plan with youth and families
  • Knowledge of ABA principles and techniques, including discrete trial training and behavior support plans
  • Experience working with children with autism or other developmental disabilities
