As a data analyst, you'll work closely with our transportation team to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and develop insights that drive business decisions.About the Role
As a data analyst in our Transportation Analytics crew, you'll be responsible for:- Working with large, messy, disparate datasets to perform ad-hoc analyses and provide critical insights to our transportation team
- Developing data visualizations to display and quantify the impact of changes and specific business challenges
- Engaging with cross-functional teams to establish credibility and analyze stakeholder needs
- Leveraging scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate reporting tasks and improve efficiency
- Documenting your processes and sharing your expertise with colleagues, mentoring them as you become a Subject Matter Expert
Key Responsibilities
To succeed in this role, you'll need to:- Have excellent SQL skills, with the ability to govern data from multiple tables while maintaining integrity
- Be creative with a User Experience basis to develop impactful Tableau Dashboards
- Have business operations fluency, with the ability to recognize and root-cause business problems
- Have excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, we're looking for candidates with:- Advanced experience with SQL and Tableau
- Experience with e-commerce operations or parcel service operations
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages
- Experience with data manipulation tools, such as Knime, Alteryx, R, Tableau Prep, etc.
