Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Customer Care Professional to join our Virtual Customer Care team, providing top-notch service to our clients from the comfort of their own homes. As a Customer Care Professional, you'll be the face of American Express, interacting with entrepreneurs and leaders, understanding their needs, and recommending the right products and services to meet those needs. You'll have the opportunity to develop your skills through industry-leading training and coaching, while making a positive impact on our clients' experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound calls from clients, engaging and interacting with entrepreneurs and leaders to understand their needs and recommend suitable American Express Small Business Services products
  • Convey in-depth product and service knowledge to communicate key features, benefits, and other elements of American Express Private Business Services
  • Continuously enhance key selling skills, including building rapport, understanding client needs, resolving complaints, and closing sales
  • Provide exceptional customer care by responding to inquiries about accounts in a fast-paced, organized client care environment
  • Document important account information according to established policies and procedures
  • Maintain integrity and comply with all Administrative and Compliance rules related to billing and sales practices

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • 2+ years of customer support experience, with a focus on building client loyalty through exceptional listening, consultative relationship building, creativity, and strong written and verbal communication
  • 2+ years of demonstrated success in a customer care and sales environment
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with the capability to multitask and navigate in an electronic environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; education benefits available

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a virtual or remote work environment
  • Familiarity with American Express products and services or similar industry experience
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
