Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Christian life coach and guidance counselor to provide one-on-one mentorship to a 14-year-old girl who is struggling with confidence and direction. As a faith-based mentor, you will work closely with our client to help her develop a strong sense of self-worth, make better decisions, and grow into a confident, independent young woman with a strong foundation.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide one-on-one mentorship to a 14-year-old girl through regular virtual sessions (1-2 times per week)
- Help our client develop a strong sense of self-worth and confidence through faith-based guidance and support
- Assist our client in making better decisions and developing healthy relationships with family and friends
- Provide assignments and "homework" to help our client understand and apply the principles of faith and character development
- Collaborate with our team to develop a comprehensive plan for our client's growth and development
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all applicable laws and regulations related to youth mentorship
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a related field (counseling, education, psychology, etc.)
- 2+ years of experience working with teen girls in a mentorship or coaching capacity
- Strong understanding of Christian theology and principles of faith-based guidance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to all applicable laws and regulations related to youth mentorship
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in a related field (counseling, education, psychology, etc.)
- Experience working with clients who have experienced trauma or adversity
- Certification in a related field (e.g. certified life coach, certified counselor)
- Strong knowledge of adolescent development and psychology
- Experience working with families and communities to support youth development
