As a full-time employee, you'll work 40 hours a week, with a schedule that includes five 8-hour days. Job Description: We're looking for a talented Legal Transcriptionist to join our team, responsible for transcribing various types of legal audio into text. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading company, utilizing your skills to produce high-quality transcripts and contribute to our mission of making all video and audio content accessible. Key Responsibilities:
- Transcribe legal depositions, hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings on the Verbit platform
- Produce high-quality transcripts using company-issued equipment
- Maintain a full-time schedule of 40 hours a week, with a focus on completing 120 audio minutes per 8-hour shift
- Utilize our time clock application to clock in and out for shifts
- Communicate effectively with the team, ensuring reliable and professional interactions
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience transcribing legal depositions, trials, hearings, and other legal proceedings
- Ability to complete 120 audio minutes in 8 hours with high accuracy
- Tech-savvy, with the ability to learn and troubleshoot software
- Touch-typing speed of at least 60 wpm with a high degree of accuracy
- Dedicated, distraction-free workspace and high-speed internet
Preferred Qualifications:
- AAERT CET (Certified Electronic Transcriber) certification and/or formal transcription training from an AAERT-approved school
