Cambridge Online Education is recruiting an Admissions & Support Team Assistant to help support our admissions function.

We are an established online education provider, looking for an Admissions & Support Team Assistant to manage the applications to our newly established Queen's Online School, supporting the Headteacher and Customer Relations Manager. This individual will also be pivotal to the operation of the general school support team function covering all schools in the Cambridge Online Education Group, including fielding enquiries by phone and on live chat.

This is a newly created and key role that presents an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking admissions or administration professional to be part of the future vision within a growing team. The Admissions & Support Team Assistant will support the Head of Queen's Online School in all aspects related to student enrolment and onboarding, working alongside Marketing and our Helpdesk team.

The role will involve answering the support team phone and speaking with potential students and their families, as well as managing our live chat inbox for part of the day. The individual will also be following up on enquiries and promoting the school to potential students, so prior experience in sales or marketing would be an advantage, preferably with some knowledge of a CRM system. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, persistence and a goal-oriented mindset.

Full support and training will be given, but we would prefer someone with appropriate work experience and skills. We are looking for someone highly organised and professional with excellent spoken and written English. You must be at ease learning new technology as you will be working entirely online with various different programs. Please note that candidates will need experience within an education environment, preferably in the admissions function or as an administrator.

You will be representing the school to prospective parents and students, so you must have an excellent telephone manner. You must also be kind, patient and empathetic as many of our callers will be talking about their individual needs.

It is essential that you have a quiet and distraction-free place to work from in order to create a professional environment.

4 Weeks paid holiday per year plus bank holidays.

£12.60 per hour, 6 hours per day (flexible timing) to start with, but could grow to more hours. For the purposes of tax, you will be classed as self-employed and will submit an invoice monthly.
