To continue this incredible adventure, we are currently looking for a Lead Asset Accounting to join our talented Finance team at our Berlin HQ (3 days per week).

As the Asset Accounting Lead, you will oversee the complete lifecycle of our core fixed asset

accounting processes. This pivotal role includes guiding and reviewing the work of a dedicated

team of two accountants, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence. 

You’ll operate within a cutting-edge SAP S/4HANA environment, alongside our operational asset

systems. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement in fixed asset accounting workflows,

helping to shape and refine best practices across the organization.

What you will contribute

  • Support, lead, and mentor two accountants, fostering their growth and development. 

  • Ensure accurate record-keeping for fixed assets, i.e. depreciation, impairments and COGS 

    in compliance with German GAAP.

  • Develop and implement new processes focused on the correct accounting of the acquire-

    to-retire process for fixed assets and ensure ongoing adherence.

  • Closely collaborate with various stakeholders in the business and agree on handover points, 

    data flow and related internal controls.

  • Enable the intercompany sale of assets between our different entities, observing EU VAT

    laws and record transactions in a compliant manner.

  • Prepare (ad-hoc) financial reports and financial analysis for various stakeholders.

  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations for fixed assets for several entities quarterly

    .

  • Work with internal (IT, Controlling etc.) and external (Auditors, Tax advisors, Investors,

    Lenders) stakeholders to ensure compliance and drive process improvements.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, accounting, economics, or an

    equivalent vocational qualification.

  • 4-6 years of accounting experience ideally from a Big Four, a growth-phase company, a capital markets-oriented company and/or in a similar audit/consulting capacity. Including at least 1 year of team leadership experience. 

  • Hands-on mentality and ability to navigate fast-paced and agile environments.
  • Key technical accounting skills in German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS.

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (especially MS Excel).

  • Experience working with accounting systems (ideally S/4 HANA) and related automations.

  • Strong communication skills in English (C1 German is a strong plus).
